Sandbox mode

What happens when the gateway is not configured.

When the gateway is not configured on a server, Friday runs in sandbox mode. Responses carry x-friday-mode: sandbox, nothing is reserved, and nothing is charged.

• Chat replies start with [Sandbox] and echo your last message; no model is called.
• Images return a placeholder, speech returns silent audio, transcription returns a [Sandbox] notice.

Validation, authentication, limits and rate limits still apply, so you can build an integration before going live.
